Alternativa Rent in one sentence
Alternativa Rent is the furnished monthly rental service of Alternativa Propiedades, a Buenos Aires real estate agency founded in 2007 by Darío Rizzo. We rent furnished apartments for 1 to 12 months, with a lease, no local guarantor and no rental insurance, with utilities included in one final price, and with online booking.
Our story
We started in 2007, when temporary rentals in Buenos Aires were almost entirely touristic and nightly. We were one of the first agencies in the city dedicated to furnished temporary rentals, and over the years we shaped it into what we are today: monthly rentals to live in, not to vacation in.
Since then we have managed over 20,000 rentals and run a portfolio of more than 1,600 furnished properties in the main neighbourhoods: Palermo, Recoleta, Belgrano, Barrio Norte, San Telmo, Puerto Madero and over twenty more areas.
In 2026 we launched alternativarent.com, where tenants pick dates and neighbourhood, see the final price, request a visit or book online and sign a real lease, all without a local guarantor.
What we do
Furnished monthly rentals to live in
Move-in ready apartments for 1 to 12 months, renewable. A temporary lease that works as proof of address.
No guarantor, no rental insurance
We verify identity and ability to pay, including income from abroad. The refundable deposit and the service fee are shown separately before you book.
One final price, everything included
Building fees, taxes, wifi, electricity, gas and water in a single monthly payment. What you see on the listing is what you pay per month.
Book online or visit first
Visit the apartment before deciding or book it online with your dates. Online bookings get 25% off the service fee.
Property management for owners
Listing, contracts, collections, check-in and check-out, cleaning, maintenance and tenant support throughout the stay.
Who it is for
People arriving in Buenos Aires or moving within the city who need a home for months: remote workers, students, people under medical treatment, families between two homes, foreigners with income from abroad and Argentines who cannot get a local guarantor. We are not a nightly-stay platform: our minimum is one month.
How we differ
Versus a traditional 24-month lease
No local guarantor or rental insurance, the apartment comes furnished and equipped, and you choose the term: one, six or twelve months.
Versus Airbnb and nightly stays
You sign a lease, pay monthly with utilities included and have a local agency with an office in Palermo answering throughout your stay.
Versus classified portals
Every property is verified by our team, with our own photos and real availability. We do not publish third-party listings.
